How it Works

A #MacsMoment is a memorable moment you’ve captured on your adventure, one of the many that will make you look back and smile. Share it with us and our community by entering your photos and videos the app or in the form below, and make sure you add the story behind the picture in the caption section.

The contest runs year-round. Each month the Macs team will round up the entries we've received that month and vote to select the winner of a lovely new bit of outdoor gear!

Plus, make sure you include the story behind your moment, because all entries received between April 30th and November 30th, 2024 will be in with the chance to win the ultimate 2024 annual prize…

What Makes a #MacsMoment?

Photos

We aren't looking for technically perfect shots, we want to see the views that made you stop and stare, wildlife encounters, summit selfies and moments of fun and camaraderie along the way.

Stories

We want to see your #MacsMoment, but we also want to hear about it. So, tell us the story behind why it was your #MacsMoment by captioning your photos or clips, or even telling the story on video! What made it special, and what made you pause to capture it?

This year is extra special, and one lucky winner this year will win a voucher for £2000/$2500/2000Eur towards their trip of a lifetime! Travel stories inspire, and for us 2024 is the year of stories. So, to qualify, make sure you not only send in your photo or video clip, but also tell us all about your moment!

Monthly prize – Best photo or video clip

Don’t worry – we will still be running our monthly competition where the best picture or video clip each month can win a piece of outdoor gear. A rucksack, a jacket... prizes vary each month, but we always choose brands we love for style and performance.

You can enter as many photos and videos as you like. You may only be able to upload one video at a time, but please return to add any more.
It doesn't matter when you travelled, the date you submit your entries will qualify you for entry.
Entries will be judged anonymously by our team.
#MacsMoment is designed to share inspiration throughout our adventure community, so Macs Adventure globally (Macs Adventure and Abenteuer Wege) will retain the rights to use entries on their own website, social media accounts, or in their print and promotional materials. Please make sure you're happy to share.
For monthly prizes (outdoor gear), the submission date for each entry defines the month for which your entry will be considered.

Monthly prizes will comprise of one or more items of quality outdoor kit. We may also offer vouchers for outdoor kit. We will always try to send the item in your size or colour preference, subject to availability.
2024 Trip of a Lifetime prize - Entries between April 30th and November 30th, 2024 will be considered for the grand prize of Macs Adventure or AbenteuerWege voucher of £2000/$2500/2000Eur. All entries globally booked through our regional offices in the UK, US, and Germany (AbenteuerWege) will be entered into the contest, and one global winner will be selected.
2024 Trip of a Lifetime prize - The prize voucher will must be used to travel in 2025, and we suggest booking as early in the year as possible as all bookings are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative or cash refund available. The voucher can only be used against the total cost of a trip booking in one transaction (and not with any other vouchers). No refund will be offered on any unused amount.
