Discover the dramatic Scottish Highlands on the West Highland Way, Scotland’s most celebrated long-distance trail. Journey from Milngavie, just outside Glasgow, to Fort William in 9 hiking days- the change in landscapes from urban to rural is unrivalled! Along the way you'll witness the sheer beauty of Loch Lomond, the empty splendor of Rannoch moor, and the open jaws of Glencoe. Memories created on the trail will be shared with fellow hikers in the evenings and cherished for years to come. This is our second least challenging full WHW, and our second most popular, and is well-suited for those who like to travel at a more moderate pace, featuring shorter days at the start to allow your legs to warm up for the longer and more challenging days later.

Macs was founded in 2003 just a few miles from the start of the trail, and with headquarters in Glasgow every year members of our team hike the WHW, conduct volunteer trail maintenance and visit our valued accommodation and luggage partners. We use our in-depth knowledge, extensive experience and local connections to offer you the best of this iconic route.
